Action Required: AlmaLinux 8 GPG Key Change
Due to storage issues with the original master key, AlmaLinux 8 is receiving a key update effective January 12th. Users should review the blog post for preparation steps.
Board Expansion
We’ve expanded the AlmaLinux OS Foundation’s board by two seats, adding Alex Iribarren from CERN, and Jun Yoshida from Cybertrust.
ELevate EPEL Support
The first step in EPEL support is now included in the ELevate project, enabling smooth migrations between CentOS 7 and AlmaLinux 8. Current limitations exclude non-AlmaLinux OS migrations and EL8-to-EL9 transitions.
Image Updates
Cloud, container, and live media images have been updated for versions 8.9 and 9.3, featuring newly available UEFI boot support.
FOSDEM 2024
AlmaLinux will host the Distributions Dev Room and operate a booth at FOSDEM 2024 in Brussels on February 3-4. Volunteers interested in staffing events should contact the Marketing SIG.
