Chair, board of directors

We’re just 9 days out from AlmaLinux Day: Germany 2026, and the full schedule is here!

On Thursday, March 26, we’ll be taking over the Convento room at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany for a full day of talks, a panel, and the kind of hallway conversations that make these events so worthwhile. AlmaLinux Day: Germany happens during the final day of CloudFest 2026, so you’ll also have access to the legendary CloudFest BierFest to close out the evening.

Your host for the day will be Tristan Théroux, who will be keeping things moving and making sure we stay on track.

What to expect

This year’s lineup reflects the breadth of where AlmaLinux is being used. We’ve got CERN sharing how AlmaLinux powers their infrastructure, ESO talking about how the Extremely Large Telescope project relies on open source and AlmaLinux, and MEGWARE discussing their journey to AlmaLinux for HPC.

Dennis Zimmer from Codenotary will be talking about Keeping AlmaLinux secure — security is something our community cares deeply about, and this one is going to be a must-see. Alexander Troshin from AMD will cover Scaling & Optimizing performance on AMD EPYC systems — if you’re running AlmaLinux on AMD hardware (or thinking about it), this is your session. We’ll also hear from Valkey and TuxCare, alongside deep dives from our own engineering team.

The day wraps up with a panel on the future of AlmaLinux and includes participates who are deeply involved in the project, but who also bring their own expertise from their own unique industries! Bring your questions, because this is your chance to put them directly to the people building the project.
