Announcing: AlmaLinux OS Foundation Elections
Board elections are happening later this year! Watch the FAQ video for more information and read the blog post for details. A Q&A session is scheduled for May 14th. To be eligible to run in this year’s election, membership applications must be submitted before the end of May.
AlmaLinux OS Now Available via WSL CLI
Windows users can now install AlmaLinux OS images directly via the WSL CLI tool — no extra configuration and without navigating the Microsoft Store.
2024 AlmaLinux Recap

Spring 2025 Raspberry Pi Updates
A number of updates have been made to Raspberry Pi images since the last update. AlmaLinux OS Kitten 10 beta support is now included — both console and GNOME images.
AlmaLinux 9.6 Beta Now Available
AlmaLinux 9.6 Beta “Sage Margay” is available for all supported architectures (Intel/AMD (x86_64), ARM64 (aarch64), IBM PowerPC (ppc64le), IBM Z (s390x)).
ELevate Testing Now Ready for AlmaLinux 10
ELevate NG and Testing now include new upgrade paths: AlmaLinux 9 to 10.0 beta, CentOS Stream 9 to CentOS Stream 10, and AlmaLinux OS Kitten 10. Read the details on the blog, try them out, and share your feedback.
