AlmaLinux Days in Two Great Cities!
We’re happy to announce AlmaLinux Day: Germany and AlmaLinux Day: LA!
AlmaLinux Day: Germany will be taking place on March 26th in Rust, Germany, in tandem with CloudFest. AlmaLinux Day: LA will be on July 18th, the day before SIGGRAPH starts.

2025 AlmaLinux Year in Review
2025 was another busy and fulfilling year for AlmaLinux, and that’s all thanks to our wonderful community!
Highlights include:
- AlmaLinux OS 9.6, 10.0, 9.7, and 10.1 releases
- More deviations driven by ALESCo in order to better serve the AlmaLinux community
- New ELevate paths (and ELevate is now supported in upstream LEAPP!)
- Tons of events where we connected directly with community members

Shim Bootloader Updated, Impacting Secure Boot for ARM64
We have updated the shim bootloader to version 16.1 for AlmaLinux 9.7 and 10.1, following the same pattern that users will see in RHEL releases. This update includes a change in the UEFI Secure Boot signing key for the aarch64 (ARM64) architecture that our users should be aware of.
